<![CDATA[Opera Mini 15 for Android]]>The Opera Mini for Android team is happy to announce the release of Opera Mini 15.

In this version, we’ve focused on reevaluating the existing features to make them better. In the start page, news is more accessible as we moved the toolbar in the bottom. Another feature we’ve improved is the fast-scrolling buttons. They are now combined with a new page scroller, so you have more controls on scrolling webpages.

Have any of you chosen the high data-savings mode as your prefered browsing mode? If so, there is more good news for you.
We have finally included “Video boost” in the high data-savings mode settings. If you want our Opera Mini servers to compress your requested video for better video experiences, turn on the option. For those of you who use Opera Mini mainly on Wi-Fi, but still want to save data, select the “Wi-Fi data savings” option in the high data-savings settings.

Opera Mini developers should add a built in online media player so that we can streaming media files within Opera Mini.
In download manager Opera Mini needs to add "Multi Part" (Multiple Connection) threaded downloading features thus file downloading speed will be accelerated.
Opera Mini kept cache files only for High saving mode, if it would be for both mode. Web Browsing will be more faster.

Well, that's the good the bad and the ugly. The ugly cache is there but is hard to see I guess.

This is not with this 15.0.2125.101257 version.

@kcinnick, we've fixed the news reader issue in March (server side fix), so it should work no matter which categories are enabled or disabled.

Thanks, it does work. Though I don't how I should have known about this fix. It seemed like an app issue and I thought I had to wait for a new app version. There should be some notification for such bugs fixed outside of app downloads. But I'm glad it's working.

@kcinnick, thanks for your report. Can you try some of the followings?

Restart Opera
Tap "Customize" and enable all the categories (There is a bug if you just disable Arts or Business, then Discover does not show articles)
Enable/Disable News in Settings > Advanced > Start page content

It's high time this problem is fixed, because the news reader is much less usable if I cannot filter categories. Shouldn't you publish a quick fix for that? When is the next version expected?
