Since I am using Windows 10, about every fifth time, Opera Mail crashes when shutting it down.

I see no further problem, even after restarting, but I am wondering: Did anyone else experience this? Is there any update for Opera Mail coming?

I am using Opera Mail only, not the browser, and I am using it on Windows 10, as stated above.

No. The standalone Opera Mail is an unfinished, alpha product, and is no longer being worked on. It's dead.

However M3 (Opera Mail is called "M2") is being implemented in the Vivaldi browser suite. Keep an eye out for it at https://vivaldi.com/ and https://vivaldi.net/. It's currently disabled in the browse till it's read. It's expected to be like Opera Mail.

I haven't seen this with Opera Mail on Windows 10. However, I only use Opera Mail for testing and don't use it all the time.

You can try closing down Opera Mail and deleting autosave.win in the sessions folder. You can also rename operaprefs.ini. If the problem doesn't happen again, it was probably in one of those files.

You could download the Opera Mail installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop, set "install for" to "Standalone Installation (USB)" and install. Then, in that Opera, add your accounts in (do not import them and do not uncheck "leave messages on server" for POP accounts). If things work fine in it, it's probably something in the "mail" folder for your original Opera Mail.

Besides that, it's probably just a bug in Opera Mail with Windows 10.
