<![CDATA[Opera 35 for Fedora 23]]>I recently got rid of Windows 8 and installed Fedora 23. I am quite rusty in Fedora as I haven't used linux since I used Fedora 16 awhile back. I'm basically starting from scratch and trying to learn Fedora. I believe Fedora 23 is rpm and Opera 35 is deb. How do I convert it? I really need it broken down, if that's possible, since I'm starting fresh with Linux. I downloaded Opera and I just don't know how to run it. What do I do? I'm so confused. I appreciate any and all help, thank you so very much in advance.

I mentioned above that have not tried that script (install-opera.sh) so I don't know how it works. I only know how rpm4opera works. I also think that I failed many times with it, in Fedora 23, because the CPU in my laptop is of 32-bit architecture (Opera is for amd64). I also cannot promise you that I will try your solution.
Besides the newest Opera, in my case, was opera-stable_ 34.0.2036.25 _amd64.deb so I am sorry for my misunderstanding, and inconvenience.

git clone https://gist.github.com/ace4fb780216aa28d922.git

followed by:

sudo sh install-opera.sh opera-stable_35.0.2066.10_amd64.deb

And it's not detecting the file although it's in my downloads folder. What am I doing wrong? I'm sorry, I'm really rusty and I'm at terminal completely confused. I feel like I'm missing a step or few.

I have recently tried, in Fedora 23, to create an .rpm file from .deb file of latest stable Opera browser using small script rpm4opera from https://gist.github.com/digrix (I don't know if the script is safe or not, I used it at my own risk). I have failed many times, the script works fine till a moment when it isn't possible to find the resulting .rpm file, it simply didn't exist. Probably I wasn't careful with the architecture of a CPU of my old computer. The script is maybe for 64-bit architecture.
I had no problems with the script in openSUSE 13.2 (64-bit arch.). Opera .rpm file works fine in openSUSE.
There is also a script in https://gist.github.com/ruario/ace4fb780216aa28d922 named install-opera.sh but I haven't even touched it.
