And I want to sync my data between a couple computers. However, Opera will not keep me signed in or allow me to access the configuration for sync. I get this message after a while on the settings page...

"An error occurred while attempting to sign in"

This happens after I am told that I have signed in successfully. During the brief period that I am supposedly signed in the Advanced Configuration button is grayed out and I cannot do anything with it. Then it kicks me out as it did just now and asks me to sign in again. Any help out there ? Thanks !

Stupid me seems to have found the problem. Because my bank site (Chase) and Time Warner account site tell me that I am using an outdated browser, I had installed a User-Agent Switcher extension and had it set to "Chrome". Now that it is turned off I can stay connected. Sometimes it takes me a little while and a night of sleep to see something that I had overlooked.

Same as here and it's working fine so probably not a server issue.

Could you do a standalone install of Opera and check if you are able to connect from there?
