I have bought a new computer and wanted to move my Opera-settings to the new Systems. Normally I've done that by copying the Opera-Folder in "...AppData>Roaming>Opera". But this time it didn't work properly. Everything was imported except the saved Passwords. I am running Opera 18 on both systems the only difference between the two computers is the OS. On the Old one there is Win 7 running and on the new one Win 8.

In earlier Versions of Opera I have copied the wand.dat, but this exists no longer and was replaced with the LOGIN DATA as far as I now.

I hope someone can help me ...

I've deleted same user and pass in the Wand in order to try to solved the problem with a new login, but didn't work out.
About the field recognition, hope it will be solved soon.

Your passwords were imported from an Opera Presto version (12.16 or older)? I recall that i had the same problem sometime ago.

So if you try to login with a new user, Opera doesn't ask if you want to save the login data? Well, it happens here on some sites too; it seems that Opera doesn't recognize the fields as login/username and password ones.

Thank you for your reply.
It seems to have an erratic functioning this new Wand.
In some sites the username appears correctly field but not the password. To complete the login I have to type the password, or to delete part of user to "activate" the Wand process.
I have 2 Google accounts and Wand simply don't work. I choose the account but passw has to be filled in by me.
The "Offer to save passwords I enter on the web" is enabled but in Mega.co.nz and Google accounts (as I've mentioned)is not working.

P.S.
Sorry but I'm using Opera for more then 10 years but I'm a newbie in Opera 18. I've made the upgrade 2 days ago

The login and password fields will be automatically filled when you go to a login page where those data were saved before. If you have more than one login saved, just start typing it or press the down arrow key.

Is "Offer to save passwords I enter on the web" enabled?

It happens on all sites? There are some sites where the password manager seems to not work.

For me that was not much of a burden because I let Opera retain very few of my login sites such as forums and the library. For banking and vendors like Amazon, utilities, etc., I secured my passwords using a password program, KeePass 2.
