Or change the "g" to another search engine? We certainly should be able to change that to get the results we want. After all - that is the whole point of baking searches into the browser.

Not if you search from Opera.

Regarding results, i don't see any difference between searchs from Opera's address bar or context menu and the ones from Google's page.

And i just made a test and was able to change the number of results per page in "search settings" in Google page, turning off instant results.

I created another search engine entry, but it is so hard to remember to type "z string" instead of "g string".

Although, at some point I was able to edit these strings. I have a custom amazon search that has somehow replaced the default amazon under "q search".

And can't you change it in Google's page itself?
