Alternatively, how can I access them from my desktop?
I do not have Opera on my desktop because I'm running Mac OS 10.6 and Opera 28 isn't compatible with it, so the built in synchronization feature that Opera offers doesn't work.
I used to have Opera 12.16, but its Link feature also didn't work.
I merely need to access those bookmarks, but from my desktop (i.e. Firefox browser by logging into my Opera account). Or export them if possible.
Please help me, it's absurd that I've been trying for too many hours to find a workaround on such a simple task.

You just need to have an rooted phone, and an root file explorer ( e.g. ES file manager). You need to navigate to /data/data/ and then if you use normal Opera navigate to /com.opera.browser; if you use Opera beta: /com.opera.browser.beta; if you use Opera mini: /com.opera.browser.mini . Now you're in the Operas data folder. Just need to open the folder /app_opera. It shall contain an file called 'bookmarks' and one called 'bookmarks.bak' (they're written in XML). If you still use opera copy them (to your sd-card), and if you have re/installed Opera, overwrite the other bookmarks files, with them from your sd-card.
If you gonna use an different browser open the 'bookmarks.bak' file, with anny text editor. And search in the XML-code for the right entry. An bookmark look like this:
"children": [ {
"date_added": "123datecode456",
"id": "IdOfBookmark",
"name": "NameOfBookmark",
"type": "url",
"url": "http://www.adressOfBookmark.html"
} ],
Just look for the right name and copy the address.
I hope you'll bee able to follow my tutorial.

So basically, I am stuck. I'll have to manually write every single url on my desktop's browser as I read them from my phone and save them there, right?

Well, you can upgrade your desktop OS. Or, if you have a rooted phone, maybe you can find a way and/or tool to get the bookmarks file.

You can't as there is no export tool in Opera Mini.

The alternative would be enabling sync.
