That is to say, the past few weeks I think, I didn't quite keep track.
Anyway it's becoming quite a nuisance. You see, while browsing, and what seems to be at random, Opera will completely stop responding to keyboard input.
Actually that's not true. Sometimes, I can type text in the address bar and generally anything in the top part of the screen. For instance, I was able to press F11 for fullscreen while my mouse was up there, but not otherwise. Curiously, this didn't work in one window, but did in another.

My only clue to this problem is mouse gestures. You see, gestures also stop working. I'm often able to pull off the single direction ones, such as open Speed Dial (down), but not close tab (down, right) which is the one I use the most. I also noticed the problem generally occurred after I had been closing multiple tabs this way. This would also explain why it affected one window more than another, as one of them apparently locks up in a gesture or something like that.
At one point, I was able to reset this issue by re-plugging my mouse, but usually it requires a browser restart to fix.

Another thing that may be worth noting is that I keep a massive amounts of tabs open across multiple windows. I rarely run out of memory though.

So does anyone have similar problems, or better yet, a solution? I'm going to assume it's only present in the current version, which for me is the latest beta. I realize this means I should expect issues, but it's been good to me so far.

On different computers, different systems (once Windows 7, 64-bit and once Windows 10, 64-bit), Opera always updatet to newest Version. Maybe, it has to do with my profile or some extensions?
Keyboard works well from starting Opera, but after a while not using it (and changing from different program-tabs) it stops reacting (nothing works, not even CTRL+...). Only thing then: to restart Opera. Mouse works fine all the time.
I would be glad if anyone knew how to stop this.

I have this on Windows 7 64 bit, 16 GB RAM and i7 3.6 GHz.
I usually have loads of tabs opened, sometimes I have 2 or 3 Opera windows opened. Barely 1/3 of my memory is used, so there is no reason for Opera to act like that.
Just to make it clear, the input in the DOM is not working (not sure if CTRL+V works), but the address bar is fine, and mouse gestures do not respond. I have just a few widgets installed, browser plug-ins still work.
FIX THIS ISSUE, OPERA and bring back good old tab stacking!

A new chrome-based browser called Vivaldi. Its by one of the original co-creators of Opera. It is one smooth and polished browser and it even has a "bookmark" feature on version 1.0 (shakes head at Opera). I switched back to Chrome because of this bug that drove me nuts. Now I'm going to give Vivaldi a try.

Finally, a real browser company that listens to the customers. It incorporates most of the tab settings that was in original Opera and Tax Mix Plus for Firefox. Give it a try and make your own decisions about staying with Opera and hoping they would fix known bugs that has been added for over a year.
