<![CDATA[opera issue after update under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS]]>an automatic update occured this morning including Opera browser among others.

Now black boxes appear instead of the normal drop-drawn menus - real issue when you want to have access to your favorites.

By disabling the hardware acceleration it seems to be fixed.

As a workaround until we have a fix available for this, you could:

  • Disable hardware acceleration (in opera://settings, enable 'advanced settings', then disable 'hardware acceleration') OR
  • Use the 'nvidia' binary driver
