I've been having this problem every time after Opera updates through the Play Store for the last two months, roughly at the time synchronization was introduced:
No pages load in any tab when I enter a URL, touch a speed dial or a bookmark, and after a few seconds I get the message box saying "(site) is not responding, do you want to close the tab?". When I choose "Close", Opera crashes. The only solution I found so far is clearing the application data and losing all my settings, passwords, etc. I experience this on both my phone and tablet, running Lollipop, but it also happened under Kitkat. I checked the comments in the Play Store and lots of people complain about the same. I can provide you with more information if you need it, so please investigate this, as I am losing my patience.

Hi
What happened after you cleared app data? Does Opera work?

If Yes it works->
What happens when you sign in to sync after that to retrieve all your bookmarks etc again?

Does it work or start breaking here?

or is it only when updating Opera while logged into sync?
