a couple of the extensions currently show in the toolbar to the right of the address bar.

I could in no way find a way to make the toolbar larger so that all extensions would show (so i could easily access)

Normally i would just bail on the browser... i have better things to do in life than spend tons of time looking for something that should be very simple and intuitive... but i like opera so i took the time to join this discussion.

Than I notice that with some extensions if you scroll to the extension description you will find and option to hide extension from tool bar toggle button. Set this to off and the extension button would appear!

How many extensions do you have installed? There is a limit to the number of icons that can display on the bar but, IIRC, its fairly large

Not all extensions show on the address bar. For example, I have 5 installed but only 2 show. 3 simply don't have an icon and wont show because their authors didn't feel the need for them too. You'd have to talk to the authors of the extensions about that.

The sidebar is an extra area for extensions to make use of, not to display extension icon. Also, the extensions have to be specifically made for it. Its a recent addition so only a handful of extensions support it.
