Agreed. Like it or not but don't cry about it. We don't need your drama There are literally dozens of web browsers out there. If Opera doesn't do what you want find one that does but don't come cry here about and poison the well. This board is here to help people that want to use Opera. If you don't want help, if you are just here to vent and expect us to pat you on the head and tell you how you're so stoic for putting up with the deficiencies of a free product then you are in for a rude awakening.

How could this not have been caught in beta

Because people are human. Companies with a lot larger development and testing staff have let through way worse bugs than this.

Ditch it then. It will be nice to rid the forum of a few whiners and get back to people who actually want to receive help. The Opera team has come a very long way in providing in a very short time, an excellent browser. Is it perfect? No. But it's getting better on a monthly basis and many, like myself, are very excited about that.

In a short period of time?? They're on version 30! Opera has been around for years and years! You don't think that perhaps the frustration is 1 - How could this not have been caught in beta testing before being released to the public? Bookmarks are a basic functionality. Even the simplest of test scripts should involve testing the bookmarks. And 2 - where is the fix?

When I got my PC back up it updated me to this version 30 and voilà the bookmarks on the Opera menu were gone! So I setup a tab on my startup to be the bookmarks page and use that until they get this fixed.
