If you set preferred language to other than English, you probably see only those that have support for that language
for instance, this is for Spanish

I'm using English, and so far, I have no use for the sidebar other than for the Notes extension. Perhaps, something will come in the future.

It would be better to have an option in settings to have the sidebar open, or closed. The user selects. Keyboard shortcuts can get confusing to remember when there are a lot of them.

I prefer to have the sidebar open by default. Still, looking on the bright side for the moment, at least there's a keyboard shortcut, ctrl-Shift-S, to open the sidebar.

I'm using the sidebar for the Notes function -- via the extension, V7. Does anyone know if there is anything else I can display in the sidebar via the native Opera browser? an extension?

This can unfortunately be very inconvenient for many users, while that settings primary effect is to open all the tabs that were open when the user closed the browser. Hopefully we will get a fix soon.
