I've been a loyal Opera user for a long time, especially for features like Lucid Mode and the integrated sidebar. However, there is one essential UI/UX feature missing that is making the browsing experience feel cluttered, especially for users on smaller monitors or those who prefer a minimalist setup.

The Problem:
Currently, we only have two options: always show the Bookmarks Bar or always hide it.

Always Show: Takes up valuable vertical screen real estate, which is frustrating during active browsing.

Always Hide: Makes it tedious to access bookmarks quickly without using shortcuts or the sidebar.

The Solution:
Please add an option to "Show Bookmarks Bar only on New Tab / Speed Dial." This is a standard feature in almost every other Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave).

Why this is important:

Efficiency: It allows quick access to bookmarks when starting a new session but hides them automatically once a website is loaded to provide a full-screen experience.

Modern UI: It aligns with Opera’s philosophy of a clean and immersive interface.

User Retention: Many power users are considering switching to other browsers just for this specific toggle.

Implementing this wouldn't be a huge task since the engine already supports it, but it would be a massive Quality of Life (QoL) update for the community.

I've just updated to the version with Themes, and the Classic's dark mode with purple URLs (the default option) is hard to read.

The URL hover in particular, on the left sidebar, has horrible contrast.

Here it is on Light Mode, hovering over the same link in the left sidebar, which is fine to look at (except that it's light mode and hurts my eyes in different ways).

I don't think these colours were optimized for dark mode. This grey background is particularly bad. I can't read the URL text.

I'll be adjusting my themes to find something that works (very happy to have this option!), but because this is the default "dark mode" option, I believe it warrants tweaking for contrast and accessibility in those UI/settings URLs.

My display is set to native 1920x1080 with Win 10 set to 150% magnification. The UI text goes huge in comparison to page text. See comparison with Mozilla.

It appears Opera uses the Win 10 font size for message box text, but is magnifying differently using Win 10 "Make text bigger". Having to fiddle with Opera to read pages with gigantic tab & message bar font size is aggravating.

I've tried the Windows 10 adjust DPI setting under compatibility with no luck. Other apps behave correctly.

Changing Opera text size settings does not fix this.
