Is there a way to have my downloaded extensions access my sidebar websites/player? I'm using PreMID on Opera to show what songs I'm listening to on YouTube Music on Discord, but I don't want to keep opening up a new YouTube Music tab when I can use the player. Is there any way for extensions to access the sidebar websites?

When you no longer need an app, messenger or the media player or even flow it just stays in the background using resources. We should have an option to close the apps we don't want to have in the background so we can free some ram as this browser is advertised as for gamers. Edge example about quitting an app on their side bar.

Now, if you have an audio/volume/eq extension installed at the URL opera://extensions, it might not work for the sidebar, which could cause the difference. If that's the case though, the sidebar would be the original, non-enhanced sound.

I guess you could test with "Use graphics acceleration when available" off at the URL opera://settings/system to see if that fixes it.

It pauses whatever's playing on the Player whenever it detects another media playing with sound. So, when that media goes silent for a moment, the Player resumes playing.

You can try picking the setting shown in the attached image to at least make it happen less. 8676b035-787c-43ea-b423-1a82b882d1e4-image.png
This will make it so that the Player will resume playing after 5 seconds of silence.
