If you think it's a session issue, you can close Opera and delete the "Sessions" folder in the profile folder to start with a fresh session. You'll lose all your tabs though, but that might fix it.

If you want to save your tabs, right-click on a tab, goto "save" and choose "all tabs to a speed dial folder". Then, with the new session, right-click that folder and choose "open all in tabs". You'd have to do that for each workspace too if you're using more than the default one.

@xthequestion Session storage is for site data storage as far as I know, so it doesn't store your sessions info.

Didn't test, but this might work:

Make a test standalone installation and close it. In its install folder, go in to the profile/data folder and delete the Bookmarks and BookmarksExtras files. Then, in the "Sessions" folder there, delete all files, and put copies (so you still have the originals just in case) of your old session files there.

If you're lucky, when you start that test Opera, you'll see your opened tabs. Then, you can right-click on a tab in the tab bar, goto "save", and choose "all tabs to a speed dial folder".

Then, goto the URL opera://bookmarks and use the drop-down at the bottom left to export the bookmarks to an HTML file.

Then, in your regular Opera, goto the URL opera://settings/importData, select "Bookmarks HTML file" in the drop-down, and import the HTML file.

Then, at the URL opera://bookmarks, right-click on that imported speed dial folder and choose "open all in tabs".

@leocg I've tried workspaces when introduced in Opera.
They don't solve nothing as they keep all tabs permanently
loaded, only hide them, but they are still in memory (as seen in task manager).
Plus, not very easy when having tab active and switching, remember of problems.
Disabled completely.
As an hygiene measure anyway, I don't keep more than 20-30 max tab open, and in case of temporary crisis, I use a small extension like Tab Hamster that let me group and store tabs by argument or whatever, while removing them from memory and open tab list.
