I completely reinstalled and set up Windows 11 today.

I wanted to install Opera GX now and it's stuck at the following step:

"Installation for the current user is in progress..."

I've been waiting for about 30 minutes and it's still installing.

I tried it from both URLs:

I have the same problem with both versions.

Changing the installation path didn't help either.

Antivirus program is not currently installed.

Version 23H2

For some reason every time Opera GX updates, it does not have WidevineCdm, which stops me from watching Netflix. Originally I just copied the WidevineCdm folder from Chrome and moved it over, then every update I have had to copy the folder from the last update folder and move it to the new update folder, then restart Opera GX.

I have tried going to opera://components but whenever I check update for Widevine Content Decryption Module it just ends with "Status - Update error", and also its version is 0.0.0.0.

I also believe my friend installed Opera GX and he also did not have the "WidevineCdm" folder installed, but we haven't gone into further depth with it for him.

I have had this issue for quite a while now, probably about 8 months?. If anyone knows how to fix it, it would be very appreciated.
