I’d like to suggest an improvement to make Opera even more productive and user-friendly.
Right now, it’s a bit inconvenient that there’s no quick way to manage:

Opera Theme Music.
Keyboard Sounds.
Browser Sounds.

Having to open the Theme Editor every time can interrupt the browsing flow.
It would be great to have a toggle or switch for these features directly in the Sidebar or Easy Setup panel, similar to the background music switch in Opera GX.
Additionally, adding a volume slider for these sounds would really help, since they can sometimes be too loud or too quiet.
I believe these small additions would make a big difference in enhancing the overall user experience.
I hope you'll consider these suggestions, It'd be amazing.

Having quick-access toggles and a volume slider for theme, keyboard, and browser sounds would make Opera much more intuitive and customizable especially for users who like the GX-style experience without digging through the Theme Editor every time.
A small change that could make a huge difference in daily usability. Hope the Opera team considers this!

I should mention that I am posting this believing that the Opera GX team operates in good faith. If this gets implemented and people are finding out it's being used to snoop around the people's devices, I will switch browsers and stop supporting opera gx. I have been using this browser for a little over 2 years and I wanna continue using it. If we have to manually add the paths, I dont mind that, I just wanna see the browser become smart enough to stop music.

The biggest advantage to this is convenience. For it being a toggle, this would ease both people who need absolute privacy and those who want to have their browser running without hearing background music 24/7 and having to toggle it off. For having a manual option, this would allow people to add the game to the browser without it having to snoop your device and it would have an easier time detecting the game running.

What will it do? This feature will look for game instances running, when it detects a game running it will turn off browser sounds like it does with videos being played. After that, it will keep it off till the game is turned off and browser sounds will be enabled again, just like the video player.

This is a "gaming" browser, so it would be nice to not have to manually toggle the background music when switching back and forth between my game and browsing the internet (especially if the game audio mutes itself when not in focus).

Obviously it delves into user privacy by using system API calls to monitor other processes on the computer (which is what Discord already does), so any option that monitors for game applications having focus would have to clearly state what it does and note that it does not store or track any information (linking to the privacy policy). It would just need to check the foreground process name against a list of known game application processes. That way, clicking away from Opera GX into Discord, for example, wouldn't mute background music, but switching to Marvel Rivals or Final Fantasy XIV would auto-mute.

Alternatively, the suggestion of having an option to toggle background music when Opera GX loses focus game would work nicely and probably be a lot simpler, since it would also work when switching to applications other than games that also play audio (like Audacity).

I just like having the background music on, but I always forget to manually turn it on/off when I switch to/from my games (in addition to being a bit tedious). It would be nice to be able to enjoy background music without having to think about it.

Totally agree with you on this, it would be a really handy quality-of-life feature for Opera GX. Auto-mute when switching to games or just when the browser loses focus makes perfect sense and would save a lot of hassle. Hopefully the devs consider something like this in a future update.

I have also turned of browser sounds and background music in the Features tab.

Yet, I still hear the music whenever I start - up the browser. What do I do to prevent the music?

In both there is the Player in sidebar that allow you to listen to streaming music while browsing.

This will make it so that the Player will resume playing after 5 seconds of silence.
