One day I accidentally deleted the youtube speed dial but when I added it back it was never the same even till now.

I suggest to add custom icons for few popular websites like youtube.com instagram.com discord.com in the opera Addons store.
And speed dials should be included in custom themes too

Opera GX is adding unnecessary features like shaders but they are not adding a useful feature which everybody is asking for.

I love GX and I hope that developers will take my feedback

Guys Team GX has finally added an option to change speed dial icon but default speed dial icons are not available on internet. i have the Youtube speed dial icon which you can download from here- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QtAyAZyGSETXf8ESUMyqwozQKKWEdHsa/view?usp=drivesdk
I know its little bit blurry but you wont notice it as it is too small

But I do sometimes and when I was using Chrome it was a pain. But Opera's that little popup window that pops whenever I click on an upload button is very useful when I want to upload from the clipboard. But, Whenever I want to upload something from the Browse files I essentially have to click twice to get the file browser (One for the upload button and the second for the "Show all files" for the popup feature) and I think it would be better to use something like the key combination to upload from the clipboard.

Here's an example
Normal Click (LMB) on the Upload button - Directly pops up the File browser to choose a file (not showing the upload feature at all.)

Ctrl + LMB on the Upload button - Directly pops up the Upload from the clipboard to choose a file from the clipboard.

Reason was that I use both of these cases usually and It is a pain to upload images from the file browser since I have to click on two buttons to upload from the file browser. In that case, the pop feature is really annoying. But I don't want to disable it because I upload from the clipboard too (usually).

Since it took me multiple searches and time to arrive at the workaround for this particular bug, thought I'd make a separate post for you, user from the future.

Summary of the bug: When you try to create a 6th workspace on Opera's desktop browser, it renames one of the 5 existing workspaces instead of creating a new one.

Workaround: Right-click Player (the Special Feature that lets you listen to YouTube Music / Spotify / etc., in the sidebar itself), then select Hide Player. Now try creating the 6th workspace. Should work.

I am on Opera version 97.0.4719.63, and can confirm that:

I was unable to create a 6th workspace until I hid Player. After creating the workspace, I re-enabled Player, and the 6th workspace persisted.

Hope this is useful.

This is the proper way to make a bug report. This bug and workaround are still accurate & reproduceable in October 2024.
