Whether it is your mobile device or your PC, if you are using a system that is outdated, it has very fair chances of facing malware injection or some other type of online attack.

Found another occurrence of this problem, elsewhere on this forum and was instructed to download Opera beta, and try it.
Found it allowed me to sign in to google.
As all my stuff was on opera mobile it wasn't ideal.
Got email warning from opera saying new sign in from another part of the country (an error) when I signed in from Opera beta.
So signed into my opera account profile, from Opera mobile to check.
Saw that I could LINK my opera account to my google account.
And hey presto I can now finally use my google finance account whilst in Opera.... signed in to google. :-))
