It's such a simple and mandatory requirement that many other popular browser have already implemented it, so please consider adding this feature for the sake of this browser, which I love so far. Also, I've seen other people complaining about this for years, why don't you just solve it? I'm pretty sure it's not that hard to do so and everybody will be happy.</p>

<p dir="auto">I have an Android phone (Xperia XZ1) with a custom AOSP 12.1 and 13.0 installed, but i couldn't swipe left nor right to switch between tabs, not like my other phone (Xperia XZ2) running an official Android 10.0</p>

In Chrome there is functionality to use gestures to navigate, so swiping right on a page would go back, and left would go forward. I tried enabling gestures in the settings, but it still did not work, and there appear to be no extensions to offer this functionality, and no hidden settings in flags.
