But there is one feature that is missing imo ... not just in Opera but in any of the browsers / extensions out there... unless there is and I would love to know!

I tend to group tabs mostly by site/domain, like all my github tabs, all my AWS tabs, Youtube tabs, etc. and my idea is to have a configuration option (per user profile) to create a list of islands that are based on site/URL patterns. For example:

Island Pattern
----------- -------
Github personal https://github.com/my-github/*
Github work https://github.com/my-organization/*
AWS https://*.console.aws.amazon.com/*
Youtube https://*.youtube.com/*
etc...

Then, whenever a URL matches any of the patterns, whether I navigate to it manually, from a bookmark, with ctrl-click, etc. it would automatically be added to the matching Island! And this would be a feature somewhere in settings that you can turn on/off...

Now that would be sweet!

Just I want to follow system theme option. When I switched OS theme light to dark most development tools and apps switches automatically. This option very comfortable because there are to many app and tool. It takes a few minutes twice a day. Technology should make easier our lives.

Also auto dev tools theme switch removed on last versions. It forcing to manual refresh to dev tools (I am not sure, this behavior might be depend to chromium.) This is not good idea.

This is very important for many developers.

When no activity for around 5 mins, Opera disconnect it self without error and. websites just don't load, gets stuck in loading forever. I must close and open Opera again in order to get connection back. This is so frustrating and it's been happening for months or a year and had never got time to report issue until now.

It doesn't happen on other browsers. Can still have connection while app running for 1 day.
