That's a pretty interesting edge case. I ran into a similar issue last week while testing some web-based LLMs locally.

Most of the time, these benchmarking sites rely on a very strict script to check the browser's User-Agent or specific flags. Since you're running the Developer stream of Opera, the detection script might fail to map your Chromium version properly, making the site think you are on an unsuported browser.

In my daily work doing web architechture audits and troubleshooting server logs, I see this kind of false positive all the time with dev builds.

Before messing with your system settings again, have you tried manually overriding your User-Agent via the DevTools (F12 -> Network conditions) to mimic a standard stable Chrome or Opera One build? Quoting myself to add a quick update because I dug a bit deeper into this issue over the weekend. I realized that sometimes it's not just the User-Agent that blocks these local AI benchmarking tools, but also the WebGPU flags.

Since you are on the Developer stream, you might need to manually force-enable WebGPU hardware acceleration by going to opera://flags/#enable-webgpu-developer-features.

I asked Aria in German and English and got the same answer. My concern was why Chromium in Opera is behind Chrome, Edge or Vivaldi. And it simply stated, that it uses Presto to make sure its independent.
Asking a second time it stated, this was due to fact that Chromium had to be adopted to and mingled with Opera‘s own engine Presto, making Opera One so smooth.
