I can reproduce the same intermittent Browser Connector failure on macOS.

Environment:

macOS 14.4.1 (23E224) Opera One Stable 136.0.6008.52 Browser Connector enabled Opera account signed in “Allow AI connection” enabled

Observed behavior:

The connector works normally for a short sequence of calls — for example, listing tabs and reading tab content — and then a subsequent call suddenly fails with:

UNAVAILABLE: Error code: UNAVAILABLE; Error: McpServerError: Browser not connected. Make sure to enable "Allow AI connection" in the "Browser Connector" and sign in with your Opera account.

At the moment of failure:

Opera is still open the browser is actively being used the Opera account is still signed in “Allow AI connection” is still enabled no permissions were changed Opera was not restarted

Toggling “Allow AI connection” off and back on restores the connector, but the same failure returns again later.

I reproduced this repeatedly during active browsing, including while working with WhatsApp Web, so this does not appear to be an idle-timeout issue.

This is the same Opera build already reported in this thread on Windows, so the problem appears to affect at least both Windows and macOS.

The failure is intermittent: the connector can work, fail on the next operation, be restored by toggling the setting, and then fail again during the same active session.

For example, I can ask Opera AI a question and receive a response, but after switching between tabs and coming back, the conversation may disappear or restart. This makes it difficult to continue with follow-up questions because the previous context is no longer available.

I have tried refreshing the page and restarting the browser, but the issue still occurs occasionally.
