That’s a very well-written and important inquiry I completely understand your concern. The “Explore more” popup in Opera can indeed appear automatically when text is highlighted, even if the user hasn’t manually enabled or interacted with the AI/Aria feature before. It’s designed as a contextual suggestion tool to introduce users to the browser’s integrated assistant, and it doesn’t activate unless the user actually clicks on it.

This appears to be a limitation on Linux rather than a bug. In Opera, the --lang flag changes the browser UI, but the AI interface stays in English because it’s tied to account or default settings. On Windows 11, the integration is more complete, so this issue doesn’t occur. Likely something Opera needs to fix in a future update.

I used Opera Chat gpt for a while, and if I asked the AI to write back with answers the software gave me the text it was available to read also the text. Maybe it was a development tools, or an extension somehow installed to my browser whatever it worked well. Today it disappeared. I made a short search and find this extension: Free GPT reader, but I can integrated to sidebar open Chat-gpt, and there is no read back icon in the AI. I can copy and paste the text out from AI and paste in free speech, but i don't know how. Please help.

You are right. Aria saves the tabs only in your current workspace. But your feedback is very insightful and we will take it into account. The reason behind Aria not responding is in privacy issues. This used to work smoothly in earlier versions of Opera, so it definitely feels like a regression. It’s not specific to OpenAI’s site either, since other browsers still show the live-updating response animation.
