They are working on this, so don't be so childish all of you who complain. If you don't want to wait go to Google or Firefox, your choice. Nobody is holding you off. In fact, don't even waste the time to mess the forums here with expressing your frustration. Just go, why you even bother to come here and threaten to leave. You are free to go. You sound like wainy trolls.
They are reworking the whole thing.
Not just bringing bookmarks back, which less and less people use nowadays. I stopped using bookmarks 2 years ago because it was terrible mess. I don't need bookmarks if I can google things or simply copy text to Evernote. From that point of view it makes absolute sense what Opera is doing and I applaud them because it's the right direction to go.
So instead of bitching and waining, take a trip to another browser and if you like you can come back. Cheers.
By the way - Opera is probably short of cash. My only concern is how they are going to finance everything. Google is main income but with the market share of mobile phones diminished (Fall of Nokia phones and web-capable feature phones), Opera has less choices. So move to Android was necessary, at least it's not too late. If they haven't made the big step they would have already closed down the shop the same way Nokia did (almost, without Microsoft rescue injection).
Opera works great and I wouldn't switch to Chrome by no means:
Customizability and Tools
Instructions to enable Opera 24 say "if you're using Opera on a computer, click on the cloud icon in the lower left corner of the browser window, then select "Enable
synchronization" and log in with your Opera account."
No it does not, those are the instructions for 12.x and older.
Press 'F1' or 'O-Menu / Help' from within Opera 24 for help and general instructions.
It just downloaded 4 stashes and stoped.
And how many should habe been downloaded?
Anyway, it could have been a server and/or connection issue.
I have a full page and 2 in another page.
52 if i'm not confusing.
Opera, stop ignore us! I remember that you promised to bring Link back a YEAR AGO when released Opera 15! Already out version 22! Where's our Link? It's very needed and useful feature. Please, bring it back soon in the next updates!!! Otherwise you will lose the last loyal users.
Open button is missing so the link beneath is opened, previously a double tap was needed for such an effect. Since I'm using Opera Mini then icons are not present in the big picture with all bookmarks, sync link save storage space on client side in this way.
Another useless rant post without any meaning and/or real feedback.
Uh? I have to disagree Leo. The OP defined well the issue instead of just spitting nonsense and vague comments hating on Opera.
There's a hard path for users to take to import bookmarks. Regular users, the non-techies, are screwed if they depend on this function. But since many topics teach how to import bookmarks I'm closing this one.
