Currently, when we save a bookmark, we can only edit the Title and the Folder. I am proposing that you add a Description or Notes field to the bookmark save dialog.

How it would work:

When Saving: A new text field is added under the folder selection where the user can type a brief note or description about the site.

When Viewing: When the user hovers their mouse over a bookmark in the bookmarks bar or manager, a tooltip appears showing the text from that Description field.

Why this is useful:
Often, page titles are vague or similar. Having a custom description would help users quickly identify exactly why they saved a specific link without having to open it first. It would make organizing large bookmark collections much more efficient.

Dear Opera Mini Development Team,

Thank you for reviewing my previous suggestion on Speed Dial enhancements. After further testing, I've realized a long-press context menu would still feel too slow for frequent edits, especially with drag-and-drop limitations like missing auto-scroll. Instead, I propose a dedicated "Edit Mode” for lightning-fast, multi-select management—think of it like editing contacts or photos in other apps.

Core Feature: Tap-to-Edit Mode

Tap the "Edit" button (pencil icon at the bottom, next to "Add New Shortcut") to enter Edit Mode—no extra top panel needed.
Multi-select shortcuts: Tap one or more (or tap-drag to select ranges/groups). Visual cues like checkboxes or highlights make it intuitive.
Tap "Next" (or a bottom toolbar) to open a streamlined context menu with bulk actions:

Move to top/bottom/position.
Rename (bulk: apply same name pattern or sequential numbering).
Edit URLs (bulk: replace domain, add prefixes).
Delete/Duplicate/Share (all selected at once).
Add to/create groups (see below).

"Exit Edit Mode" with a "Done" button, preserving your changes instantly.
Toggle between "list view" (compact, searchable rows) and "tree view" (nested folders, expandable like file explorers) for better organization.

This fixes drag-and-drop pain points (add auto-scroll in Edit Mode too) and scales for users with 50+ shortcuts.

Smart Grouping & Auto-Organization

"Auto-categorize all shortcuts": One-tap "Arrange Automatically" uses a built-in database or user-defined rules to sort into categories/subcategories (e.g., News, Shopping, Social). Base it on URL keywords, domains, or page titles.

"User overrides": Edit an "Override List" to customize rules, merge categories, or exclude sites.
"Refinement tools": Post-auto-sort, jump back to Edit Mode for manual tweaks, sorting (alpha, most visited, custom), or pinning.

"Tie-in with Bookmarks/History": Import/export Speed Dials as bookmark folders; suggest additions from browsing history or frequent tabs.

Duplicate & Similarity Detection

"Find Duplicates": Scan for exact matches or wildcard variants (e.g., example.com vs. www.example.com vs. sub.example.com). Bulk merge/delete.
"Find Similar": AI-powered detection of related sites by domain similarity, content type (e.g., cluster news sites), or favicon/keyword matching. Suggest grouping or removal.

Additional Enhancements for Power Users

"Search/Filter Bar": In Edit Mode, search shortcuts by name/URL/keyword; filter by group, pinned status, or visit frequency.
"Bulk Import/Export": Drag-and-drop files (JSON/CSV) for shortcuts/groups; sync across devices via Opera account.
"Custom Group Themes": Assign colors/icons to groups for visual organization (e.g., red for work, blue for entertainment).
"Undo Stack": 10-step undo for accidental changes, with a "History" button to revert.

These changes would transform Speed Dial into a pro-level manager—efficient for quick tweaks, powerful for heavy users—while keeping the default view simple and fast.

Thank you for iterating on user feedback!

I greatly appreciate the integration of the Text-to-Speech (TTS) function within the browser, particularly the "Listen" button feature used in AI interfaces (like Gemini, etc.). It is a valuable tool for accessibility and user comfort.

To further enhance this feature, I would like to suggest the addition of simple customization options, directly accessible within the Opera interface or settings.

Desired TTS Options:

Voice Selection: Offer a choice between at least two high-quality TTS voices (e.g., a male and a female voice) for each language.

Rendering Settings: Integrate simple graduated controls to modify the speed and pitch of the voice.

Justification:

Currently, the voice selection is fixed to a single default synthetic voice (which is male for the French language). This limitation forces users who want a different voice or a different pace to resort to third-party extensions. These extensions often offer lower audio quality and complicate the user experience (requiring manual text selection, extra clicks).

A simple, native setting like this would significantly improve the comfort, personalization, and accessibility of your AI-based tools and general webpage reading functionality.

Thank you in advance for considering this suggestion.

Sincerely.

Hi!
I make a lot of researchs. I open a lot of tabs. Then i check them, and if they are usefull for my needs, i put them in my Bookmarks folders.

But sometimes, i don't have enough time to check them and organise them, one after the other.

It would be usefull to send all open tabs in a bookmark folder. That folder's name would be the date. And we could modify that name later.

So that, later, when we have more time, we could return to that folder, to check, reorganise, or delete those bookmarks, as we need it.

To increase our productivity, it would help to save the searched subject, in one click. And to release RAM and Cache, so that the browser goes fast.

Some other browsers do it. But i prefer to use Opera.
It would be so great to do that on Opera Mobile for Android!

Thanks to devs for the good job!

It would be very helpful if Opera could also sync:

Shortcuts

Themes

Wallpapers

Mods

Currently, sync already works for:

Bookmarks

Extensions

History

Settings

Passwords

Open tabs

Pinboards

The issue I face is that whenever I use Opera on a new device, I need to manually reconfigure all my shortcuts and personalization settings. Expanding sync to cover these items would save time and improve the user experience.

For example, in VSCode, as soon as I log in with my account, all my settings, themes, and shortcuts are automatically restored. Having the same experience in Opera would greatly improve usability and consistency across devices.

On computers, we have the option to sort bookmarks alphabetically.
I have thousand of bookmarks. I organise them, i put them in folders. I use them a lot for my researchs. When i create bookmarks, i want to put them in the appropriate folder.
