  Now it all makes sense. I thought Opera was an alternative. Resistance is futile?

  Opera, if you hear this, please let me choose my default search engine, please! Until then I am using FireFox, Safari, and even Chrome, all of which allow me to set the default search engine of my choosing.

  No I get them on sites like The Pirate Bay when clicking a download link, for example. Since I have "unwanted" pop-ups blocked only, when I click a link, a pop-up can simultaneously appear.

  So I downloaded Opera 20 after months of having to leave opera. No bookmarks still.

  There is no Bookmarks Panel. The shortcut to add a bookmark is Ctrl D if the Bookmarks Bar is Enabled.

  From the menu, select settings In Settings, Browser, Enable the Bookmarks Bar Click the + button to add the current page to your bookmarks Right-click on the Bookmarks Bar to add a new folder From the More Tools submenu, Click on Bookmark Importer Import Bookmarks to the Bookmarks Bar. If you had Opera 12 already installed, you should find a list of bookmarks folders here that you can add to your Bookmarks Bar. Any bookmarks that were on the Bookmarks bar in Opera 12, will have been imported already. Search the Opera Browser forum if you need more help.

  actually, i said apple will support the webkit open source project and that that project will produce high end browsers (as it has in the past). blink forked from it and put it in a position of irrelevance or lack of funding. now apple will support that original direction. googles open source source will be blink, and apple's open source source will be webkit. instead of webkit disintegrating, it will continue to be the source of high end browsers in the future.

  since the open source boys like multiple platforms, i infered that safari (which is webkit) will once more appear on the windows os (as it developes into something new and therefore eliminates the current security holes ... maybe(?)).

  So meh, it really saddened me to see Opera Unite disappear. With a bit of more work, would have turned Opera into THE browser to have. Right now I'm using Maxthon for most of the time and turning back to Opera a few times a month to check updates on both 12.x and the Alpha/Beta/failed-Crome-copyacat/whatever-you-call-it-that-silly-version-without-bookmarks.

  If they can't maintain the Community features at least, then I am sure Opera will disappear in two years max. I'd really love to see it stay but I can't deny what I see. A real pity...

  The Opera browser would fail to find or run the now-deleted plug-in, and you'd have to go obtain another one for Opera. Just as you'd do anyway if each browser needed its own copy of plug-ins.

  No program running in the background that should simulate clicks. Especially why should it simulate a click in Opera, but does not in Firefox or Internet Explorer? I would notice simulated clicks in games either. Unfortunately nothing like that running on my system. 😞

  thanks. deleting the web data file helped me out, but I agree that Opera should fix this and enable deleting Autofill data by using "Clear private data..."

  On a Mac you can find your profile data path via Opera -> About Opera. in my case it was /Users/username/Library/Application Support/com.operasoftware.Opera

  (current version 19.0.1326.63, Mac OS X 10.9.1)
