@leocg Spoke too soon. Opera is signing me into Google using the company ID.

RE: How can Opera automatically sign me into a site, yet it's not in the password list?Opera for Mac
@leocg Usually, yes. But I fixed it by deleting my profile folder and starting over.
Yet I still wonder how my automatic login was possible when the site is not in the password list.

How can Opera automatically sign me into a site, yet it's not in the password list?Opera for Mac
For example, I have a gmail account of my own and one used by my employer. On the Mac itself (Monterey 12.4) I have two user IDs, one for my personal stuff and one for my employer.
When I go to YouTube on the personal side, I am automatically signed in using my employer's ID. I looked into Opera's internal password list, and YouTube is not there.
Ideas?

RE: Autofill trensfer macbook to imacOpera for Mac
I think you mean, "How do I transfer automatic fills from one Mac to another?"
I use Opera's sync service -- at least, that is what I assume is the reason that when I format my Mac, fills are still working.

RE: [Solved]HIstory date is incorrectOpera for computers
@hisnibs Still incorrect, with 74.0.3911.139. The times are correct. As I took this screenshot, it is Wednesday the 17th.

RE: Extension upgrade requires additional permissions...Opera for computers
@NickyT I am using Mac 71.0.3770.284, and I'm getting it (I came to this forum because there is no recent activity on the Mac forum).
I have only two extensions: Amazon Assistant (disabled) and Ad Blocker -- which, I note, says is zero size -- and when I disable it, the message is gone.

RE: Where are (some) passwords coming from?Opera for Mac
@leocg I will have to come back later. I saw an old reminder to ask about this, but in that reminder, I didn't record the site. Next time it happens, I'll come back. Thanks.

Where are (some) passwords coming from?Opera for Mac
When I go into a website, Opera dutifully fills in my ID and password. Plus, and not that it matters, I have a FileMaker database of IDs and passwords. For some sites, my password is filled in and works, but yet it is not in my FileMaker database, it's not in Opera's password list, and it's not in macOS Keychain. I hit one such site today and Opera's filled-in fields worked, but I wanted to look up what the password really is, and it's not to be found. Any idea where it came from?

RE: [Solved]Opera blocks pop-ups at a site where it's okayOpera for Mac
@leocg I always thought Opera had some Chome as its engine; guess I was wrong. I also use Safari and Firefox, and they are okay. But in any case, Opera seems to be okay now.

RE: [Solved]Opera blocks pop-ups at a site where it's okayOpera for Mac
@leocg Yes, it's in the list. If I disable the more general block option, it is okay. But it might be fixed: Once I toggled these, it appears to be okay.

[Solved]Opera blocks pop-ups at a site where it's okayOpera for Mac
Using 66.0.3515.27 on macOS 10.15.2. At a site where I have told Opera it is okay to see their pop-ups, they are still blocked. Ideas?

For the “wrong country” issues: It might not be youOpera for Windows
I’ve had some wrong country issues as have others, and it turns out that (at least) in my case, it was not my browser or VPN.
I had a friend give me a old RCA Android notebook, which I reset back to its manufactured state. When I used its native, pre-installed Chrome, the problem came back with a Google search, except that before (Windows) I was supposedly in Sweden, but this time I was placed somewhere that used some type of Eastern European language. I didn’t do any detective work and just folded it up and put it on the shelf.

RE: wrong countryOpera for Windows
@zalex108 (Is that to me, TLMurray?) If it is, if I clicked a Swedish ad and then used Google Maps -- I didn't try the Mac app -- it was a map of Sweden. Leaving Opera and using Google's Maps was correct.

RE: wrong countryOpera for Windows
@leocg I have the same issue to a point: Outlook for the Web has ads on the right, and it's the only site that's wrong -- my main email is English, but the ads were showing Swedish. I did go into my Microsoft profile and change my language from default to English, but I've not had to do that before and I've been doing this for longer than I care to remember. Also, Safari and Firefox were okay. No VPN. IP okay.

RE: [Solved]HIstory date is incorrectOpera for computers
Opera 63.0.3368.107 for Mac has an issue with putting the wrong date on history items. For example, as I type this it is 20:46 Eastern on Tuesday, but a sites I went to from around midnight to 19:47 show yesterday (Monday).
I have just now updated to 64.x but have not restarted Opera, so I probably won't know any new news until Wednesday evening. Also, Opera has done this for many versions now -- I just didn't bother to report it.

Sync brings in old itemsSynchronization
I freelanced for a while at a company in 2016 and 2017, synced my Mac's Opera to my iPhone, and used Opera (mostly) ever since. My Mac was stolen in July 2019, and I'm using an old Win7 PC to get by. I set up Opera on Win7 and used it for a few weeks (call me User1) with fresh speed dial, bookmarks, etc. Yesterday I enabled another Win user ID (User2) and turned on sync . . . and what showed up in User2 was the old info from my freelance days. The info in User1 remains okay.
Is there a way to force settings of User1 to be the King of All Settings? If not, there should be.
================
NEVER MIND, FOUND IT: Speed Dials, for example, are under Bookmarks > Other Speed Dials > ComputerName. Nonetheless, I think we should have a way to damn the torpedoes and sync "for real" where new machine truly takes on the characteristics of the old.
Some passwords did not sync, however, yet some did.

RE: Synchronize old browsers?Synchronization
What would be a good idea is to present some choices, like "a overwrites b", "b overwrites a", and of course, "merge". When I installed a second machine, the lack of choice made me nervous that the new install with default speed dial might overwrite my data.

RE: Video "Blackouts" after upgrading OperaOpera for Windows
I have Opera's latest (as of today) on an old Win 7 machine -- my MacBook Pro was stolen -- and the Marmoset pages are fine for me. That said, I used to get audio-only videos from CNET, but now they work. Netflix, Hulu, and and the others work fine (other than the buffering on this ancient Toshiba). Maybe a fresh install is in order. My PC was loaned to me and I formatted it from scratch.
