I literally knocked myself off my feet trying to find out what version of Opera best fits OS X 10.7.5 as well as find any downloadable link on Internet as the official Opera website doesn't provide such option. In spite of that I did find where to download and now I'm on v.26.0.1656.60. Now I'd like to know can I update or upgrade it to whatever newest version that's compatible with the OS X?
Welcome to Opera's forums @Scrutinizer1!
If I'm not wrong, Opera 26 is the latest one for your MacOS version, also for WindowsXP and Vista.
At the other hand...
I read somewhere that is possible to disguise system versions to skip limitations, (actual Opera
version is 45) I Google it and found a website where they are explaining how to do that trick. (If you are interested)

Change Mac OSX System Version
Hi, zalex. Since I'm precautious fellow I read those comments first. This hack is too radical and I may end up having to deal with the system rendered unbootable. This is very dangerous and highly non-advisible.
Also I figures out the lattest Opera version for my System if v.37
Well, if the latest Opera version for Lion is 37 as said in the blogs, then you are lucky, that's better than 26, (didn't found that before).
At the other hand, you are right, the hack it's dangerous without the needed precautions, but depending on the situation could be needed.
